Rugby League Ireland are inviting applications for the voluntary position of Team Manager to join our National Pathways Rugby League programme. Reporting to the Board, the Team Manager role involves planning and perfecting our performance camps, warm up fixtures, test matches, and Tours providing our players with the best experience possible in an elite environment.
It is a key management position within the RLI pathways programme and is accountable for the management and administration of the team, as well as the setting of standards applicable to this high performing team programme.
Whilst responsible for their own directorate, our Pathways Team Managers work alongside all Performance staff to deliver our Multi Squad Camps, across our Under 16, Under 19, Student, Wheelchair, Women’s, and Men’s teams, which means that whilst we’re all working in a fast paced environment, we have an experienced and committed team to lean on for support.

UNDER 16’S TEAM MANAGER – Rugby League Ireland
Location: Ireland, with frequent travel to the UK
JOB DESCRIPTION
Working Relationships: Head Coach, National Team Management, RLI Board
Responsibilities include;
The co-ordination of team logistics and operations including working with the RLI Board and Head Coach on all elements of planning and organisation for all activity and management of our Performance Squad.
Close liaison with the Head Coach regarding all team aspects, which includes training, competition, team meetings, and Management of the team budget, and its acquittal on return. As well as:
- Coordination of training venues, schedules, and transport of training equipment etc.
- Ordering of kit, both on and off-field.
- Distribution of player and staff wear.
- Liaise regularly with the RLI media division in relation to results, team selection and other significant activities Liaison with hosts and tournament officials as required.
- Attend matches, training sessions or tours as required.
- Perform team side-line duties at all matches.
- Preparation of detailed reports including a financial balance sheet.
- Team Management and logistics review, includes recommendations report.
Other Requirements:
- Access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role
- Pass appropriate RLI vetting
