Ireland Women’s Train On Squad Announced

Rugby League Ireland are pleased to announce the next stage of their inaugural train on squad. Following the selection of the UK contingent, Head Coach John Whalley recently arrived in Tullamore to complete the Ireland trial and has selected 25 further players for the squad, completing a 50-player initial squad.

20 of the players selected are from Women’s Championship side Dublin City Exiles, with the other players selected coming from Galway Tribeswomen and Barrowcudas. Speaking on the announcement, Whalley said: “The Ireland based trials unearthed some real gems of players. I’m very excited as to what our Ireland based 25 can offer, and it has really strengthened what we already have in the UK. The future looks particularly positive for the RLI Women.”
