Three Ireland players were involved in Rugby League’s biggest day on Saturday when Leigh Centurions, Featherstone Rovers, Wigan Warriors and Huddersfield Giants ventured to the state-of-the-art Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final and BetFred Challenge Cup Final respectively.
Rugby League Ireland would like to congratulate all three players on their success.
Liam Byrne played a key role in the engine room of the Wigan pack as they struck late to collect the cup with a 16-14 win, while in the earlier kick-off Ed Chamberlain impressed for Leigh and Keanan Brand was a valuable squad member.
We look forward to them also showing what assets they are to RL Ireland ahead of the Rugby League World Cup!
